Baby is fussy except for when mommy is holding her.

Mommy is doing great, up and moving about.

Her hair:  it is darker than Keeghan's hair.  Keeghan didn't have this much hair until he was 6 months old.

Stats:  Apgar scores were 8 & 9.  They have not measured her length yet. Will post more as we know about it.

Update

Dr. Rush just did a check up and the cervix has expanded to 7 cm.  Making good progress and mommy is very comfortable.

Epidural is in place

So the last couple hours were progressively painful for mommy. Now the pain medicine is going in the epidural catheter and things are getting better.

The bad news is that they require an indwelling urinary catheter when an epidural is initiated.

Five centimeters dilated and mommy and baby appear to be doing well.

A new baby will be having a birthday very soon.

Here we are at WakeMed Raleigh.  The IV is in mommy and the Pitocin is infusing. Keeghan is having a slumber party with Tala tonight, so mommy and daddy can get acquainted with his new baby sister after she makes her appearance.  Follow the blog for updates!
